He Knows Your Name

He determines the number of the stars 

and calls them each by name.

Psalm 147:4 NIV

Have you ever stopped to realize that out of the millions and billions of people on this planet, God knows YOUR name? He is intimately acquainted with you. He knew you before you were ever conceived, and fashioned you in your mother’s womb. The hairs on your head are numbered, and your name is engraved on the palm of His hand.

God is infinite and eternal. He has no beginning or end. He is omniscient (all-knowing), omnipotent (all-powerful), and omnipresent (present everywhere at all times). He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. He knows every grain of sand, every raindrop that falls, and every lily that grows in the field.

Nothing escapes His attention. He knows your thoughts, your intentions, and the desires of your heart. He knows you better than you know yourself and loves you with an unconditional and everlasting love. He believes in you. He is on your side and ready to do battle for you. He forgives your sins, clothes you with His robe of righteousness, and seals you with the promise of His Holy Spirit.

He calls you His own. What more could you ever need?
