God has
transmitted his very substance into every Scripture, for it is

So many people spend their days
trying to “find themselves.” They continually search in all the wrong places
for meaning and purpose. But it’s a shallow existence, and they always come up
feeling empty. Even many who claim to be Christ followers barely scratch the
surface with Him. They attend church occasionally, pray before meals, and do a
good deed once in a while.
But God has so much more for His
children than we can even imagine. He wants us to go deeper. To know Him
intimately, as He knows us. To experience His grace and find our true purpose
and the path of godliness.

Young writes:
If you
live on the surface of life by focusing on ever-changing phenomena, you will
find yourself echoing the words of Solomon: “Meaningless! Meaningless!
Everything is meaningless!”
God had a specific reason for
creating each of us. He has a plan and purpose for our life that nothing else
can satisfy or fulfill. He wants us to go deeper. To dig into His Word. To
spend time in His presence. To commit ourselves to Him and allow Him to be
involved in every part of our lives. To love Him with our whole heart, not just
a small part.
When we take our eyes off the
world and keep them focused on the Lord, nothing is meaningless.
