But Jesus looked
at them and said to them,
“With men this is
impossible,
but with God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26
NKJV
“No way. Not even
God can fix this. It’s impossible!”
I smiled and said, “Don’t you know that’s when He does His best work?”
A popular worship song recounts all the things the writer/singer has seen. Then it says, "don't you tell me He can't do it." In other words, I've been there, done that. I know what my God is capable of, and I believe. Don't even think about telling me He can't.
God has never
changed. He is still the God of miracles. The supernatural. The impossible. I’ve
seen it. I’ve experienced it. And nothing—or no one—can talk me out of it or
take it away from me.
When we face
situations and deem them impossible—at least by man’s standards—we leave God
out of the equation. He sees what we can’t see. He knows what we don’t know. He
is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. Nothing catches Him by surprise.
And He is intimidated by nothing and no one.
When David went
out to face Goliath, he knew God was bigger than the giant. Everyone thought
David was crazy and surely expected him to die in shame. But David didn’t face that
giant in his own strength. He went in the name of the Lord, trusting Him for
victory.
Whatever you’re
facing, know that God is bigger than your problem. He has the answer. Don’t
leave Him out of the equation.
