Do you enjoy what you do? The old adage says, “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.” Well, maybe that’s stretching it a little, but the statement definitely holds some valuable truth.
The Bible refers to those who are “called according to His purpose.” That applies to each of His children. We’re all gifted with unique talents and abilities. The key is in recognizing and embracing our calling. When we do, we can trust that God’s anointing will equip and empower us to succeed in whatever vocation or career we choose.
I’ve learned that when we follow our true calling, we operate with confidence and conviction as we fulfill our God-given purpose. Operating outside our giftings brings frustration, which can lead to a feeling of hopelessness and failure. When we do the things we love, it fuels our passion and brings out the best part of us. Sometimes, finding our passion and stepping into our calling can take a lifetime; but when it happens, it brings a deep sense of peace and fulfillment.

Remember … God doesn’t call the equipped; He equips the called.
